This is our microgrants program targeted at petty traders in the rural areas, who are struggling to grow their small businesses and to take care of their families. This initiative was unveiled by Her Excellency, Dr. Kema Chikwe, former Nigerian Ambassador and Minister of Aviation in 2022. Since inception, over 1,000 women in the rural areas have been impacted with our microgrants.
In 2023, we adopted the Association of Women Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria into this program. As women who are suffering stigmatization, as a result of their health statuses, they are economically disadvantaged, so we support them with our small grants and training in order to improve their livelihoods.
This is a startup challenge, exclusively designed for young women who are growing tech startups.
Through this project, we hope to raise more leadership-conscious women who shall contest for leadership positions in Government and in the private sector, in support of the UN’s Affirmative Action;
This is our annual conference in commemoration of the annual International Women’s Day.
